SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 149

COMMENDATIONS. Commends Pastor Maize Warren Jr. and the Spirit and Truth Family
Worship Center on the celebration of its third anniversary.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Pastor Maize Warren Jr. on the joyous occasion of the third anniversary of the2
founding of the Spirit and Truth Family Worship Center and on his ministering to the3
spiritual needs of its congregation in New Orleans and Gretna, Louisiana.4
WHEREAS, it is with great respect of purpose that the Senate of the Legislature of5
Louisiana does hereby commend the good works and spiritual guidance provided to the6
community by Elder Maize Warren, senior pastor and teacher of one of the fastest growing7
churches in New Orleans, established on June 4, 2008; and8
WHEREAS, it was at that time that Pastor Warren and his family began doing God's9
work and experienced expansive growth with a flock that now numbers over seven hundred10
fifty members in two church locations; and11
WHEREAS, God continues to work miracles and to expand this blessed ministry to12
a third worship center location to be launched in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the summer of13
2011; and14
WHEREAS, the sacred seeds of love and redemption sown by Pastor Warren took15
root in the hearts of his congregation; and16
WHEREAS, Jesus Christ has bestowed his blessings on this congregation and its17
leadership for its good works, spiritual guidance, and Christian fellowship it provides to the18 SR NO. 149

community; and1
WHEREAS, in three short years, the creation and support of family ministries have2
provided a touchstone and have lighted the way for faithful servants of the Lord at every age3
and in every circumstance; and4
WHEREAS, from the sanctuary of the worship center many lost souls have been5
saved, called into the Lord's service, rescued from the perils of drugs and hopeless6
ungodliness, and set upon the path of righteous; and7
WHEREAS, the Spirit and Truth Family Worship Center is a community-based8
ministry that strives to bring spiritual healing and restoration to the city of New Orleans9
while also spreading the gospel of God's love and grace.10
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana11
does hereby commend Pastor Maize Warren Jr. and the membership of the Spirit and Truth12
Family Worship Center on the celebration of its third anniversary and on tending to the13
spiritual needs of its extended church family.14
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to15
Pastor Maize Warren Jr.16
