DORSEY, GAUTREAUX, GUILLORY, HEITMEIER, JACKSON,

A RESOLUTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
death of Rhett Jeansonne.
WHEREAS, it is with great sadness that the citizens of the state of Louisiana have
learned of the death of Rhett Jeansonne, a resident of Denham Springs, at the age of thirty-
nine, on June 7, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Rhett was employed as an insurance fraud investigator with the
Louisiana Department of Insurance since November 2006; and
WHEREAS, he also served for the past twenty-two years as a volunteer firefighter
in Livingston Parish in Districts 4 and 5, and attained the rank of captain with District 5; and
WHEREAS, he held a national Emergency Medical Services certification, a
Firefighter and Emergency Responder certification, and an Emergency Medical Technician
certification; and
WHEREAS, he was a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician Basic,
as well as an American Heart Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certified instructor; and
WHEREAS, he is survived by his wife, Bernadette S. Jeansonne; a daughter, Sharon
Jeansonne; two sons, Kristopher and Kale Jeansonne; and his father and stepmother, Robert
and Pat Jeansonne; and
WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry B. Jeansonne, and his
grandparents, Davis and Hellen Jeansonne; and
WHEREAS, because of his numerous accomplishments in public and private live,
the death of Rhett Jeansonne has left a void in his community and the state of Louisiana, and
has created a genuine sense of profound sorrow in his friends and family; and SR NO. 152	ENROLLED

WHEREAS, the memory of Rhett Jeansonne will remain eternal in the hearts and
minds of his family, friends, and all of those whose lives he touched and who loved him.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the untimely death of Rhett
Jeansonne, and does hereby recognize and record for posterity his accomplishments and
contributions, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation and gratitude for the pride and
honor that he will forever bring to his family, friends, community, and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
family of Rhett Jeansonne.
