COMMENDATIONS. Commends the Daniel and Tammy Green family on being selected
to receive the Louisiana State Council Knights of Columbus, 2010-2011 Family of the Year
Award.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Daniel and Tammy Green family on being selected to receive the2
Louisiana State Council Knights of Columbus 2010-2011 Family of the Year Award.3
WHEREAS, the Knights of Columbus, Breaux Bridge Council #2398, nominated4
Daniel Green and his family for consideration for the Family of the Year Award given by5
the Louisiana State Council of the Knights of Columbus; and6
WHEREAS, Daniel and Tammy Green live in Breaux Bridge and have eight7
children, Danielle, Dustin, Devan, Desiree, Daniel II, David, Drew, and Darian; and8
WHEREAS, as a member of Breaux Bridge Council #2398, Daniel serves as9
community director and second year trustee and he and Tammy serve as Pro-Life Chair10
Couple; and11
WHEREAS, Daniel has planned and lead a twelve hour prayer vigil for sick12
members of the council; represented the council at Pro-Life marches in New York,13
Washington D.C., Texas, and Mississippi; and represented the council at several prayer14
vigils including two three-day vigils; and15
WHEREAS, Tammy supports Daniel in all he does and joins him on marches and16
prayer vigils; and17
WHEREAS, two sons are in the Squires, one is a Knights of Columbus member, and18 SR NO. 22

the children have attended several marches and vigils in the past year; and1
WHEREAS, Daniel works with the CCD program within his church and has taught2
classes for several years, specifically with the eighth grade this year; gives talks in the RCIA3
program; and commits to weekly hours at the adoration chapel; and4
WHEREAS, Tammy is an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and5
an active participant in its functions; and6
WHEREAS, Daniel coaches youth football, organizes and leads prayer vigils for the7
sick, and works to preserve historical landmarks; and8
WHEREAS, the Green family is hard working, selfless, and willing to assist others9
functioning as a family within their home, their church, and their community; and10
WHEREAS, the Daniel and Tammy Green family was given the 2010-2011 Family11
of the Year Award at the 106

State Convention of the Knights of Columbus held on April12
29-May 1, 2011 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana.13
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana14
does hereby commend the Daniel and Tammy Green family on being selected to receive the15
2010-2011 Family of the Year Award by the Louisiana State Council of the Knights of16
Columbus.17
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to18
Daniel and Tammy Green.19
