SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 28

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the Hackberry High School girls softball team on
winning the 2011 Class C State Championship.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Hackberry High School girls softball team on winning the 2011 Class C2
state championship.3
WHEREAS, the Hackberry High School girls softball team completed a sensational4
season, earning the title of 2011 Class C state champions after defeating Claiborne Christian5
School by a score of 10-0 in five innings; and6
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence7
throughout the season and playoffs, and each of these great Lady Mustangs deserves8
recognition for her vital contributions to the winning effort; and9
WHEREAS, the 2011 Hackberry High School girls softball team consists of Brianne10
Beard, Sidney Broussard, Erica Duhon, Jenna Granger, Syklar Jinks, Meagan Johnson,11
Morgan Leger, Samantha Little, Destiny Simon, Mattie Stine, Blair Trahan, and Jolie12
Trahan; and13
WHEREAS, the Lady Mustangs were led in their win by teammate Erica Duhon,14
who earned Outstanding Tournament Performer honors; and15
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved16
without the guidance and skills of head coach, Angie Little, as well as all of the other17
individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's softball program; and18 SR NO. 28

WHEREAS, all Hackberry High School alumni and fans recognize the immense1
pride and distinguished honor that the Lady Mustangs team brings to its school, community2
and state.3
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana4
does hereby commend the Hackberry High School girls softball team on winning the 20115
Class C state championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches and6
everyone involved with this fine softball program as they celebrate their exceptional season7
and prepare for continued success in the future.8
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to9
Angie Little, head coach of the Hackberry High School girls softball team.10
