SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 28
BY SENATOR MORRISH 
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Hackberry High School girls softball team on winning the 2011 Class C
state championship.
WHEREAS, the Hackberry High School girls softball team completed a sensational
season, earning the title of 2011 Class C state champions after defeating Claiborne Christian
School by a score of 10-0 in five innings; and
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence
throughout the season and playoffs, and each of these great Lady Mustangs deserves
recognition for her vital contributions to the winning effort; and
WHEREAS, the 2011 Hackberry High School girls softball team consists of Brianne
Beard, Sidney Broussard, Erica Duhon, Jenna Granger, Syklar Jinks, Meagan Johnson,
Morgan Leger, Samantha Little, Destiny Simon, Mattie Stine, Blair Trahan, and Jolie
Trahan; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Mustangs were led in their win by teammate Erica Duhon,
who earned Outstanding Tournament Performer honors; and
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved
without the guidance and skills of head coach, Angie Little, as well as all of the other
individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's softball program; and
WHEREAS, all Hackberry High School alumni and fans recognize the immense
pride and distinguished honor that the Lady Mustangs team brings to its school, community
and state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend the Hackberry High School girls softball team on winning the 2011
Class C state championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches and
everyone involved with this fine softball program as they celebrate their exceptional season
and prepare for continued success in the future. SR NO. 28	ENROLLED

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Angie Little, head coach of the Hackberry High School girls softball team.
