SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences upon the death of Sergeant First Class Arthur
"Lee" Kessinger Jr.
A RESOLUTION1
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana to the2
family and friends of Sergeant First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr., upon his death.3
WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger was a native of Jonesboro, Georgia, and4
a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, where he was a 1995 graduate of Ponchatoula High5
School; and6
WHEREAS, for thirteen years, he actively served his state and country as a proud7
member of the National Guard; and8
WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger's military service included active service9
in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and10
WHEREAS, dedicated and hard-working, he was respected and loved by family and11
friends alike; and12
WHEREAS, Sergeant First Class Kessinger's thirty-two years on this Earth were too13
short; and14
WHEREAS, family and friends of Sergeant First Class Kessinger are joined by this15
state and country to mourn the passing of a great American.16
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana17
does hereby extend its deepest and most profound condolences to the family of Sergeant18 SR NO. 38

First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr., for their profound and unexpected loss.1
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the2
family of Sergeant First Class Arthur Lee Kessinger Jr.3
