HOUSE BILL NO. 1024
BY REPRESENTATIVE ADAMS
APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the state in the matter of "James Malone v. William Lambert, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "James Malone v.3
William Lambert, Michael S. Malone, Charles E. Wright, Jr., Imperial Fire and4
Casualty Insurance Company, GEICO Casualty Company, ANPAC Louisiana5
Insurance Company and State of Louisiana through the Department of6
Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. The sum of Two Thousand One Hundred Fourteen and No/1009
($2,114.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana10
for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "James11
Malone v. William Lambert, Michael S. Malone, Charles E. Wright, Jr., Imperial Fire and12
Casualty Insurance Company, GEICO Casualty Company, ANPAC Louisiana Insurance13
Company and State of Louisiana through the Department of Transportation and14
Development", bearing Number 673-012, Division "A", on the docket of the Twenty-Fourth15
Judicial District Court, parish of Jefferson, state of Louisiana.16
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor17
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,18
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 19 HLS 12RS-1867	ORIGINAL
