Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 1108 BY REPRESENTATIVE BROWN PUBLIC WORKS: Authorizes DOTD to transfer property destined to be demolished for public works AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 38:3111, relative to public works; to provide for plans, transfers, and2 relocations concerning buildings with historical or cultural significance; and to3 provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 38:3111 is hereby enacted to read as follows:6 ยง3111. Historical buildings7 An agency acquiring real property for a program or a project shall review the8 property for any buildings or structures that may have historical or cultural9 significance. Upon identification of such buildings or structures, the agency shall10 devise a plan to preserve such building or structure. Proposed law requires the agency shall devise a plan to preserve such building or structure if identified.
