ACT No. 613 Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 1208 (Substitute for House Bill No. 840 by Representative Thompson) BY REPRESENTATIVE THOMPSON AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 9:315.47 and to enact R.S. 9:315.46(C), relative to the2 suspension of licenses for failure to pay child support; to provide for modification3 or lifting of suspensions for partial compliance; to provide for a court order lifting4 the suspension of a license in certain circumstances; to provide for reinstatement of5 licenses for partial compliance; and to provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. R.S. 9:315.47 is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S. 9:315.46(C) is8 hereby enacted to read as follows: 9 §315.46. Subsequent compliance with support order; compliance and partial10 compliance releases11 * * *12 C. At the request of an obligor who provides evidence of his ability to13 comply with the support order and who enters into a written agreement with the14 department, the department may issue a certificate of partial compliance requesting15 that the suspension be lifted or modified. The secretary of the department shall have16 the authority to promulgate rules and regulations and take such action as may be17 necessary to implement the provisions of this Section.18 §315.47.
