Broussard and Ronald P. Broussard v. Chatra Carter, Allstate Insurance Company and Lafayette Consolidated Government" AN ACT1 To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2 2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of3 Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Sheryl A. Broussard and4 Ronald P. Broussard v. Chatra Carter, Allstate Insurance Company and Lafayette5 Consolidated Government"; and to provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1.A. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety Thousand and No/100 ($490,000.00)8 Dollars in favor of Sheryl A. Broussard; the sum of One Thousand Three Hundred Fourteen9 and No/100 ($1,314.00) Dollars in favor of Betty Broussard, Sheryl A. Broussard, Gary B.10 Broussard and Christopher Broussard, the Heirs of Ronald P. Broussard, is hereby11 appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to12 be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of Transportation and13 Development in the suit entitled "Sheryl A. Broussard and Ronald P. Broussard v. Chatra14 Carter, Allstate Insurance Company and Lafayette Consolidated Government", bearing15 Number 87,481 on the docket of the Fifteenth Judicial District Court, parish of Vermilion,16 state of Louisiana.17 B. Monies awarded in this judgment to Sheryl A. Broussard in the amount One18 Hundred Forty Thousand and No/100 ($140,000.00) Dollars for future medical expenses19 shall be payable from the Future Medical Care Fund pursuant to R.S. 39:1533.2.20 HLS 12RS-853 ORIGINAL HB NO. 200 Page 2 of 2 Section 2.
