DISTRICTS/ECONOMIC DEVEL: Provides relative to the Concordia Economic and
Industrial Development District
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 33:130.472(I)(1), relative to the Concordia Economic and2
Industrial Development District; to provide relative to meetings of the board of3
commissioners of the district; and to provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published5
as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of6
Louisiana.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. R.S. 33:130.472(I)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:9
ยง130.472. Board of commissioners; members; officers; agents; employees10

I.(1) The board shall meet in regular session once each month at least once12
per quarter and shall also meet in special session as often as the president of the13
board convenes them or on the written request of four members. In the event that If14
a board member is unable to attend a regular or special session, the board member15
may appoint a designee to attend any such regular or special session. The designee16
shall have full voting rights on any matters before the board.17

Abstract: Relative to the Concordia Economic and Industrial Development District,
changes the number of times per year that the board of commissioners is required to
meet.
Present law establishes the Concordia Economic and Industrial Development District and
provides for a board of commissioners to govern the district. Proposed law retains present
law.
Present law provides that the board shall meet in regular session once each month and shall
also meet in special session as often as the president of the board convenes them or on the
written request of four members. Proposed law provides that the board shall meet in regular
session at least once per quarter; otherwise, retains present law.
