STATE SYMBOL:  Designates the pirogue as the official state vessel
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 49:170.17, relative to state symbols; to provide for the official state vessel;2
and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 49:170.17 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 5
ยง170.17.  State vessel6
There shall be an official state vessel, which shall be the pirogue. The use7
of its likeness or image on official documents of the state and with the insignia of the8
state is hereby authorized.9
