APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Joyce Kelly v. the State of Louisiana and DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joyce Kelly v.3
Rubin Calvit, Sr., Catherine Ready Mix Company, Inc., Brairfield Insurance4
Company and State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development";5
and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Fifteen Thousand and No/100 ($15,000.00) Dollars, is hereby8
appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 to9
be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Joyce Kelly v. Rubin Calvit, Sr.,10
Catherine Ready Mix Company, Inc., Brairfield Insurance Company and State of Louisiana,11
Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number 44980 "B" on the docket12
of the Seventh Judicial District Court, parish of Concordia, state of Louisiana.13
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor14
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,15
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 16 HLS 12RS-295 ORIGINAL
