Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 362 BY REPRESENTATIVE KATRINA JACKSON HEALTH: Allows automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in high schools that participate in interscholastic athletics under certain circumstances AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1236.13(E), relative to automated external defibrillators; to2 allow high schools that participate in interscholastic athletics to have an automated3 external defibrillator on their premises; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 40:1236.13(E) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง1236.13. Proposed law retains present law and adds that each high school that participates in interscholastic athletics may have an AED on its premises at the athletic director's option.
