Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 431 BY REPRESENTATIVE GAROFALO FISHING/OYSTERS: Extends the application period for an oyster seed ground vessel permit AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 56:433.1(A)(2), relative to the oyster seed ground vessel permit;2 to extend the application period for such permit; and to provide for related matters.3 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4 Section 1. R.S. 56:433.1(A)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:5 ยง433.1. Oyster seed ground vessel permit; Oyster Seed Ground Vessel Permit6 Appeals Board7 A.8 * * *9 (2) Vessel owners, as listed in the official record of the department at the10 time of application, who meet the requirements of Subsection B of this Section shall11 have the right to submit to the department a new application for an oyster seed12 ground vessel permit. No new applications for such vessel permits shall be accepted13 after December 31, 2009 2012. Provides for certain restrictions and qualifications to possess such permit. Requires application for such permit to be submitted prior to Dec. 31, 2009. Proposed law extends that application period to Dec. 31, 2012. (Amends R.S. 56:433.1(A)(2))
