AN ACT1
To amend and reenact Section 1(A) of Act No. 57 of the 2005 Regular Session of the2
Legislature, as amended by Act No. 79 of the 2007 Regular Session of the3
Legislature, relative to the Grand Isle Port Commission; to provide relative to the use4
of certain waters for seafood production research; to provide relative to the5
specification of the boundaries and size of the area in which the research will be6
done; and to provide for related matters.7
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published8
as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of9
Louisiana.10
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:11
Section 1. Section 1(A) of Act No. 57 of the 2005 Regular Session of the12
Legislature, as amended by Act. No. 79 of the 2007 Regular Session of the Legislature, is13
hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:14
Section 1.(A) The Grand Isle Port Commission may use, in accordance with15
this Act, the following described state water bottom, water column, and water16
surface above the specified section of water bottom:17
Approximately five twenty-five and one-half acres in Caminada Pass,18
Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, circumscribed by lines connecting the following points19
(projection in North American datum, 1983).20
(1) The Northeast corner is located at 29 degrees, 13 minutes, 19.2 22.4521
seconds, North 90 degrees, 2 minutes 35.7 22.46 seconds West.22
(2) The Southeast corner is located at 29 degrees, 13 minutes, 17.4 12.9523

(3) The boundary shall then run west northwest from the Southeast corner1
to a point 29 degrees, 13 minutes, 14.69 seconds North, 90 degrees, 2 minutes, 32.132
seconds West.3
(4) The boundary shall then run Southwest to the point 29 degrees, 134
minutes, 8.59 seconds North, 90 degrees, 2 minutes, 36.09 seconds West.5

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not11
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature12
by the governor, as provided in Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If13
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become14
effective on the day following such approval.15
