[R.S. 1:13(B) and 24:177(E)] Henry Burns HB No. 486 Abstract: Removes the limitation placed on Wild La. Stamp revenue of no more than 25% of the revenue to be used on maintenance and stewardship of Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries lands. Present law authorizes the issuance of the Wild La. Stamp which can be used to access department administered lands in lieu of a hunting license or a fishing license. The Wild La. Stamp cost $10 or a 1-day stamp for $2. Present law provides that the revenue from the sale of the Wild La. Stamp shall be placed into the natural heritage account in the Conservation Fund to implement and administer wildlife programs, the natural heritage program, and nongame programs. Proposed law retains present law. Present law limits the use of funds to not more than 25% of the revenues from the sale of the stamps for the maintenance and stewardship of department administered lands. Proposed law removes the limitation. (Amends R.S. 56:1832(B))
