APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Bridget Bourgeois, et al v. State of La. DOTD, et al" consolidated with
"Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, et al" consolidated with
"Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v. State of La. DOTD"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-2
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Bridget Bourgeois,3
Individually, and on behalf of her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany v. State of4
Louisiana through Department of Transportation and Development, Johnathan Louis5
and/or the Estate of Johnathan Louis, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance6
Company, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company and Government Employees7
Insurance Company (GEICO)" consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual8
Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance Company, the Estate of Cody Cormany and9
the Estate of Johnathan Louis" consolidated with "Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis10
v. State of Louisiana through Department of Transportation and Development"; and11
to provide for related matters.12
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:13
Section 1. The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 ($75,000.00) Dollars, is14
hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2012-15
2013 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of Bridget Bourgeois, Individually, and16
on behalf of her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany, in the suit entitled "Bridget Bourgeois,17
Individually, and on behalf of her deceased son, Cody J. Cormany v. State of Louisiana18
through Department of Transportation and Development, Johnathan Louis and/or the Estate19
of Johnathan Louis, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, State Farm Fire20 HLS 12RS-1238 ORIGINAL

and Casualty Company and Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO)"1
consolidated with "Tim Green v. State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance2
Company, the Estate of Cody Cormany and the Estate of Johnathan Louis" consolidated with3
"Johnathan Louis and Manya Louis v. State of Louisiana through Department of4
Transportation and Development", bearing Numbers C569,599, Sec. 25, C569,024, Sec. 27,5
and C560,288, Sec. 25, on the docket of the Nineteenth Judicial District Court, parish of East6
Baton Rouge, state of Louisiana.7
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor8
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,9
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 10
