MTR VEHICLE/LICEN PLATES:  Extends the time for which special temporary
registration plates or markers are valid
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 47:519(L)(2), relative to temporary registration plates; to extend2
the time for which temporary registration plates and markers are valid; and to3
provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 47:519(L)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6
ยง519.  Temporary registration plates issued by dealers7

L. Special temporary plates or markers.  The commissioner shall issue9
special temporary registration plates or markers to truck dealers.  The special10
temporary registration plates or markers shall be the same as, and shall be subject to11
the same requirements as, the other temporary registration plates or markers issued12
under this Section, except that:13

(2) Each special temporary  registration plate or marker shall be valid  for15
ten working days sixty days from the date the special temporary registration plate or16

Abstract: Extends the time for which temporary registration plates and markers are valid.
Present law requires a special temporary registration plate or marker to be valid for 10
working days from the date the special temporary registration plate or marker is issued.
Proposed law extends the period to 60 days.
