Regular Session, 2012 HOUSE BILL NO. 608 BY REPRESENTATIVE BROADWATER WORKERS COMPENSATION: Provides with respect to the workers' compensation reimbursement schedule AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 23:1034.2(C)(2)(d), relative to workers' compensation; to2 provide with respect to the reimbursement schedule; and to provide for related3 matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 23:1034.2(C)(2)(d) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as6 follows: 7 ยง1034.2. Reimbursement schedule8 * * *9 C. 10 * * *11 (2) The director shall have the authority to collect the information and data12 necessary to calculate the reimbursement schedule. [R.S. 1:13(B) and 24:177(E)] Broadwater HB No. 608 Abstract: Provides with respect to the reimbursement schedule for drugs, supplies, hospital care and services, medical and surgical treatment, and non-medical treatment under the Workers' Compensation Act. Present law gives the director authority to collect the information necessary to calculate the reimbursement schedule. Present law provides that there shall be a minimum of 30 health care providers reporting data upon which each disseminated statistic is based. Proposed law changes the minimum number of health care providers reporting data from 30 to 35. (Amends R.S. 23:1034.2(C)(2)(d))
