INSURANCE/HMO: Provides relative to certain fees for health maintenance organizations
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 22:269(B)(2) and (5), relative to certain fees for health maintenance2
organizations; to remove conflicting provisions for such fees.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1. R.S. 22:269(B)(2) and (5) are hereby repealed in their entirety.5

Abstract: Removes conflicting provisions for certain fees for health maintenance
organizations.
Present law (relative only to health maintenance organizations) provides for a fee of $5 for
filing a charter, other documents, and amendments and a fee of $3 for certified copies of any
document, per page, to be collected by the commissioner of insurance.
Proposed law deletes present law.
Present law (applicable to the Insurance Code generally) provides for a fee of $25 for filing
a charter, other documents, and amendments and a fee of 25ยข for certified copies of any
document, per page, to be collected by the commissioner of insurance.
Proposed law retains present law.
