AUDITS/AUDITING:  Requests the legislative auditor to examine the allocation of funds
provided to the Dept. of Children and Family Services relative to furthering access
to visitation
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To urge and request the legislative auditor to examine the allocation of funds provided to the2
Department of Children and Family Services relative to furthering access to3
visitation and to report its findings to the legislature on or before January 1, 2013.4
WHEREAS, R.S. 46:236.1.2(B)(2) authorizes the department to develop and5
implement a program of access and visitation designed to support and facilitate noncustodial6
parent's access to and visitation of their children; and7
WHEREAS, the department receives state and federal funding to implement its8
programs.9
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby10
urge and request the legislative auditor to examine the allocation of funds provided to the11
Department of Children and Family Services relative to furthering access to visitation and12
to report its findings to the legislature on or before January 1, 2013. 13
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted14
