HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 155
BY REPRESENTATIVE HUNTER AND SENATOR THOMPSON
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To urge and request the legislative auditor to examine the allocation of funds provided to the
Department of Children and Family Services relative to furthering access to
visitation and to report its findings to the legislature on or before January 1, 2013.
WHEREAS, R.S. 46:236.1.2(B)(2) authorizes the department to develop and
implement a program of access and visitation designed to support and facilitate noncustodial
parent's access to and visitation of their children; and
WHEREAS, the department receives state and federal funding to implement its
programs.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
urge and request the legislative auditor to examine the allocation of funds provided to the
Department of Children and Family Services relative to furthering access to visitation and
to report its findings to the legislature on or before January 1, 2013.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the legislative auditor.
