HIGHWAYS: Urges and requests DOTD to install a traffic light at the junction of LA 594
and Millhaven Road and the entrance to Millhaven Estates Subdivision in Ouachita
Parish
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To urge and request the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to install2
a traffic light at the junction of LA 594 and Millhaven Road and the entrance to3
Millhaven Estates Subdivision in Ouachita Parish.4
WHEREAS, the subdivision of Millhaven Estates has only one entrance and exit onto5
LA 594; and6
WHEREAS, residents do not have the right-of-way when leaving the subdivision;7
and 8
WHEREAS, this intersection has become highly congested and the location of9
multiple vehicle accidents; and10
WHEREAS, installing a traffic light at this junction is needed to protect the safety11
and welfare of pedestrians and drivers alike and to diminish the current public safety hazard12
in this growing area of the parish. 13
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby14
urge and request that the Department of Transportation and Development install a traffic15
light at the junction of LA 594 and Millhaven Road and the entrance to Millhaven Estates16
Subdivision in Ouachita Parish.17
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted18
