Ray Teddlie A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1 To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of J. Ray Teddlie.2 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the3 Louisiana Legislature have learned of the death of J. Ray Teddlie of New Orleans on4 Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the age of fifty-nine; and5 WHEREAS, J. Ray Teddlie was a brilliant political consultant and a truly beloved6 citizen of the state of Louisiana; and7 WHEREAS, Mr. Teddlie graduated from Louisiana State University and studied at8 the American Film Institute; and9 WHEREAS, in 1986, Mr. Teddlie began his long and very productive career in10 political consulting, and he established Teddlie Media partners, now Teddlie Stuart Media11 Partners, in 1994; and12 WHEREAS, Mr. Teddlie lent his time and unique talents to numerous winning13 campaigns, including those of Governor Kathleen Blanco, Jefferson Parish District Attorney14 Paul Connick, Congressman Bob Livingston, Public Service Commissioner Lambert15 Bossiere, retired Chief Justice Pascal Calogero of the Supreme Court of Louisiana, and many16 others; and17 WHEREAS, widely respected for his keen political insights and innovative18 approaches to political consulting, Mr. Teddlie was also admired for his intellect, creativity,19 integrity, compassion for those in need, and unwavering strength of character; and20 HLS 12RS-1140 ORIGINAL HCR NO. 74 Page 2 of 2 WHEREAS, in addition to his passion for politics, Mr. Teddlie was an avid lover and1 collector of literature, film, and classical music; and2 WHEREAS, although the death of Mr. Teddlie has left a tremendous void in his3 community, his memory shall live forever in the minds and hearts of all who knew and loved4 him.5 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby6 express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of J. Ray Teddlie of New Orleans,7 does hereby recognize and record for posterity his singular accomplishments and8 contributions, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and honor that this9 extraordinary gentleman will forever bring to his loved ones, community, and state.10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted11 to Teddlie Stuart Media Partners.12 DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services.
