HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 128

A RESOLUTION
To urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development to install a traffic
light on Louisiana Highway 308 at its intersection with Rosedown Drive in
Lafourche Parish.
WHEREAS, the speed limit on Louisiana Highway 308 from the Audubon Street
Bridge to the intersection of Rienzi Drive is fifty miles per hour and;
WHEREAS, the next intersection of Rosedown Drive contains the reduced speed
zone sign of forty miles an hour and a traffic light approaching sign for the next intersection
at Canal Drive and;
WHEREAS, the distance between the two intersections is not enough to allow
motorists to slow down to acceptable speeds without a traffic light at the intersection of
Louisiana Highway 308 and Rosedown Drive.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby urge and request Department of Transportation and
Development to install a traffic light on Louisiana Highway 308 at its intersection with
Rosedown Drive in Lafourche Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development.
