BY REPRESENTATIVES DOVE, HARRISON, AND WHITNEY
COMMENDATIONS: Commends I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux upon his retirement as the
Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court
A RESOLUTION1
To commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux upon his retirement as the Terrebonne Parish2
Clerk of Court.3
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux, who has4
served the residents of Terrebonne Parish for nearly fifty years as the Terrebonne Parish5
Clerk of Court; and6
WHEREAS, in 1950, Mr. Boudreaux began his career with the parish as an office7
clerk at the courthouse after graduating from high school; and8
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux served his country with valor in Seoul, South Korea, in9
the United States Air Force, and following his military service, he returned to Terrebonne10
Parish and worked as a minutes clerk; and11
WHEREAS, in 1963, Mr. Boudreaux ran for clerk of court, and he has served twelve12
distinguished terms; and13
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux is widely respected by his fellow citizens for his14
knowledge and integrity; and 15
WHEREAS, countless residents of Terrebonne Parish have benefitted from Mr.16
Boudreaux's wise stewardship and management of the Clerk of Court's Office; and 17
WHEREAS, under Mr. Boudreaux's superb leadership, the Terrebonne Parish Clerk18
of Court's Office has become a model of excellence and professionalism; and 19
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux's warm personality and good humor has drawn the20

WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux's passion and love for Terrebonne Parish is clear to all1
who know him, and he will continue to bring deep pride to his fellow citizens as a public2
servant whose dedication to the parish is inspiring and unwavering; and3
WHEREAS, Bobby Boudreaux merits a special measure of commendation for the4
tremendous honor he brings to his family and friends, to Terrebonne Parish, to the state of5
Louisiana, and to the United States of America.6
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the7
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux upon his8
retirement as the Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court after a long and highly productive term9
of service of nearly half a century, does hereby express enduring gratitude for his10
extraordinary contributions, and does hereby extend to him best wishes for continued11
success and happiness in his future endeavors.12
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted13
to I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux.14
