HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 136
BY REPRESENTATIVES DOVE, HARRISON, AND WHITNEY
A RESOLUTION
To commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux upon his retirement as the Terrebonne Parish
Clerk of Court.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux, who has
served the residents of Terrebonne Parish for nearly fifty years as the Terrebonne Parish
Clerk of Court; and
WHEREAS, in 1950, Mr. Boudreaux began his career with the parish as an office
clerk at the courthouse after graduating from high school; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux served his country with valor in Seoul, South Korea, in
the United States Air Force, and following his military service, he returned to Terrebonne
Parish and worked as a minutes clerk; and
WHEREAS, in 1963, Mr. Boudreaux ran for clerk of court, and he has served twelve
distinguished terms; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux is widely respected by his fellow citizens for his
knowledge and integrity; and
WHEREAS, countless residents of Terrebonne Parish have benefitted from Mr.
Boudreaux's wise stewardship and management of the Clerk of Court's Office; and
WHEREAS, under Mr. Boudreaux's superb leadership, the Terrebonne Parish Clerk
of Court's Office has become a model of excellence and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux's warm personality and good humor has drawn the
admiration and endearment of many; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux's passion and love for Terrebonne Parish is clear to all
who know him, and he will continue to bring deep pride to his fellow citizens as a public
servant whose dedication to the parish is inspiring and unwavering; and ENROLLEDHR NO. 136

WHEREAS, Bobby Boudreaux merits a special measure of commendation for the
tremendous honor he brings to his family and friends, to Terrebonne Parish, to the state of
Louisiana, and to the United States of America.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux upon his
retirement as the Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court after a long and highly productive term
of service of nearly half a century, does hereby express enduring gratitude for his
extraordinary contributions, and does hereby extend to him best wishes for continued
success and happiness in his future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to I. Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux.
