COMMENDATIONS:  Commends Pastor Rick Edmonds for 10 years of faithful service at
Calvary Baptist Church in Shreveport
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Pastor Rick Edmonds for ten years of faithful service at Calvary Baptist2
Church in Shreveport.3
WHEREAS, on April 15, 2012, Calvary Baptist Church in Shreveport is celebrating4
ten years under the leadership of its Senior Pastor, Rick Edmonds; and 5
WHEREAS, Pastor Rick Edmonds and his wife, Cindy, have served faithfully and6
with distinction and have provided steady, visionary leadership for their church and7
community; and 8
WHEREAS, under Pastor Rick Edmonds' leadership and commitment, Calvary9
Baptist Church in Shreveport remains one of the largest churches in its region and one of the10
most vibrant churches in the Louisiana Baptist Convention, consistently serving as a leader11
in baptisms, evangelism, outreach, world missions, and quality Christian education; and12
WHEREAS, Pastor Rick Edmonds merits a sincere measure of commendation for13
his faithful and committed service to Calvary Baptist Church and the people of the state of14
Louisiana.15
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the16
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Pastor Rick Edmonds upon his tenth17
anniversary as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Shreveport, does hereby recognize the18
spiritual leadership, inspiration, and guidance that he provides to his church and community,19 HLS 12RS-2220	ORIGINAL

and does hereby wish him and his family full measures of success and happiness in the years1
to come.2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted3
to Pastor Rick Edmonds of the Calvary Baptist Church in Shreveport. 4
