HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 45
BY REPRESENTATIVES THOMPSON AND CARMODY
A RESOLUTION
To commend Clifford Harris LeBlanc IV upon being named a regional finalist for Louisiana
Eighth Grade Student of the Year and to recognize his extraordinary
accomplishments.
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the Louisiana House of Representatives
recognizes the energy, intelligence, and self-motivation of Clifford Harris LeBlanc IV, a true
leader and role model among his peers; and
WHEREAS, Harris LeBlanc's academic achievements, leadership ability, public
service, critical thinking skills, and communication skills have earned him many titles in
2012, including Shreveport's St. Joseph School Eighth Grade Student of the Year, the
Diocese of Shreveport's Eighth Grade Catholic School Student of the Year, and the
Louisiana Department of Education's Eighth Grade Division Louisiana Non-Public Student
of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Mr. LeBlanc has recently received the honor of being named a regional
finalist for Louisiana Eighth Grade Student of the Year; and     
WHEREAS, the fate of our great state rests upon citizens like Mr. LeBlanc, whose
talents may one day help lead us toward a more prosperous economy and a more just and
equitable social order; and 
WHEREAS, Mr. LeBlanc's record of achievement and conscientiousness suggest that
his parents have cultivated a young man who will work to leave the world a better place.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Clifford Harris LeBlanc IV upon being
named a regional finalist for Louisiana Eighth Grade Student of the Year, does hereby wish
Mr. LeBlanc full measures of success and happiness in the years to come, and does hereby
hope that he continues upon his current trajectory so that a future resolution may be written ENROLLEDHR NO. 45

to commend him for the honor that he will undoubtedly continue to bestow upon the state
of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Clifford Harris LeBlanc IV.
