HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 67
BY REPRESENTATIVE RICHARDSON
COMMENDATIONS:  Commends Chase T. Cashio upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Chase T. Cashio for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.2
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend and celebrate the accomplishments of3
Chase T. Cashio, who has attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and4
WHEREAS, the son of Casey and Christy Cashio, Chase Cashio is currently a junior5
at Central High School in Central, Louisiana; and 6
WHEREAS, Mr. Cashio is active in sports at Central High School, is a member of7
the National Beta Club, and has been named to the academic Honor Roll; and 8
WHEREAS, Mr. Cashio was honored for his achievements and attainment of the9
rank of Eagle Scout at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on October 30, 2011; and10
WHEREAS, in pursuit of the rank of Eagle Scout, Mr. Cashio refurbished the Central11
Football Stadium bathrooms and attended Camp Sid Richardson in Texas, where he12
completed the Sailing, Computers, and Oceanography merit badges; and13
WHEREAS, the mission of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February14
8, 1910, and chartered by the United States Congress in 1916, is to prepare young people to15
make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the16
Scout Oath and Law; and17
WHEREAS, to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting, a Boy18
Scout must fulfill all requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor skills, and19
the Eagle Scout must earn twenty-one merit badges, which signify the mastery of Scoutcraft20

WHEREAS, only a small percentage of Boy Scouts earn the Eagle Scout rank,1
illustrating that it takes a unique and motivated young man like Mr. Cashio to strive to2
embody the ideals of an Eagle Scout; and3
WHEREAS, upon being presented with his Eagle Scout badge, Chase T. Cashio4
joined the ranks of esteemed and respected Eagle Scouts throughout history; and5
WHEREAS, the legacy of the Boy Scouts of America is rich indeed, including not6
only a history of service and proud citizenship but also the momentous and singular7
accomplishments of Chase T. Cashio, who is recognized and commended for his deep8
human values, the genuine spirit of good fellowship that he inspires, and his service as a fine9
example of hard work and integrity in the eyes of future Eagle Scouts and his entire10
community.11
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the12
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and honor Chase T. Cashio upon attaining13
the rank of Eagle Scout because he walks an honorable path along the Eagle Scout trail, does14
hereby express utmost gratitude and respect for the exemplary strides he has taken as a Scout15
and citizen, does hereby congratulate Mr. Cashio and his troop for commemorating this most16
significant and unforgettable event when he pledged his eternal loyalty to the code of the17
Eagle Scout, and does hereby wish him full measures of success and happiness in the years18
to come.19
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted20
to Chase T. Cashio. 21
