CONTROL DANGER SUBSTANCE. Adds Ezogabine as a Schedule V controlled
dangerous substance. (8/1/12)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 40:964(Schedule V)(D)(3), relative to controlled dangerous substances; to add2
Ezogabine as a Schedule V controlled dangerous substance; and to provide for3
related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 40:964(Schedule V)(D)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
§964. Composition of schedules7
Schedules I, II, III, IV, and V shall, unless and until added to pursuant to R.S.8
40:962, consist of the following drugs or other substances, by whatever official9
name, common or usual name, chemical name, or brand name designated:10

D. Depressants. Unless specifically exempted or excluded or unless listed in14
another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains15
any quantity of the following substances having a depressant effect on the central16
