Authorizes the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy to waive annual renewal requirements for pharmacist licenses and technician certifications for individuals serving in active duty in the military service. (8/1/12) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1208, relative to the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy; to2 authorize the board to waive the annual license renewal requirements for pharmacists3 in certain circumstances; to authorize the board to waive the annual certification4 renewal requirements for certified technicians in certain circumstances; and to5 provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. R.S. 37:1208 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 8 ยง1208. Bd. of Pharmacy to waive the annual license renewal requirement, including annual renewal fees, for a licensed pharmacist if he is serving in active duty in the military service of the United States or any of its allies. Proposed law also authorizes the La. Bd. of Pharmacy to waive the annual renewal requirements and renewal fees for certified technicians serving in active duty in the military service of the United States or any of its allies.
