FUNDS/FUNDING. Provides relative to the Louisiana Fur Public Education and Marketing

AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 56:266(D), relative to the Louisiana Fur Public Education and2
Marketing Fund; to provide for the trapping license fees; and to provide for related3
matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 56:266(D) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6

D. Appropriations. (1) All revenues received by the state from license fees9
imposed on trappers as required in R.S. 56:251(A)(1) shall be credited to the Bond10
Security and Redemption Fund. After a sufficient amount is allocated from that fund11
to pay all obligations secured by the full faith and credit of the state which become12
due and payable within any fiscal year, the state treasurer is authorized and directed13
to transfer annually the amount of twenty dollars for each twenty-five dollar resident14
trapping license sold and one hundred forty-five dollars for each one hundred fifty15
dollar nonresident trapping license sold, from revenues derived from the sale of said16
licenses, into a special fund designated as the Louisiana Fur Public Education and17 SB NO. 375

DIGEST
Present law provides for the treasurer to transfer $20.00 for each $25.00 resident trapping
license sold and $145.00 for each $150.00 nonresident licence sold to the Louisiana Fur
Public Education and Marketing Fund.
Proposed law changes present law to provide for the treasurer to transfer $20.00 for each
resident trapping license sold and $145.00 for each nonresident trapping license sold to the
Louisiana Fur Public Education and Marketing Fund.
Effective August 1, 2012
