SENATE BILL NO. 513
BY SENATOR CROWE 
ADMINISTRATION DIVISION. Restricts the division of administration from making
certain expenditures to companies or entities which engage in the production of obscene or
pornographic material. (8/1/12)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 39:249, relative to the expenditure of state funds; to prohibit certain2
expenditures by the division of administration; to prohibit the approval of certain3
expenditures; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 39:249 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
§249.  Prohibition on expenditures for obscene or pornographic materials7
The division of administration shall not expend monies, or approve the8
expenditure of any monies, to any individual, entity, company, corporation,9
association, organization or subsidiary of any corporation, which is required to10
maintain records pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §2257.11

Proposed law provides that the division of administration shall not spend monies, or approve
the expenditure of monies, to any individual, entity, company, corporation, association,
organization, subsidiary of any corporation which is required to maintain records in order
to protect children from sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, or molestation in the production
