AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 51:940.1, relative to standards and procedures for the state Department of2
Economic Development or the office of entertainment industry development; to3
provide for requirements for state certification for motion picture productions; to4
require submission of certain information; to prohibit state certification under certain5
circumstances; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1.  R.S. 51:940.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8
§940.1. Motion picture investor; prohibition on certification for pornographic9
materials10
A. Purpose. The purpose of this Section is to provide heightened11
standards and procedures for the Department of Economic Development or the12
office of entertainment industry development.13
B. In addition to all other program requirements, prior to final14
certification of production expenditures for a state-certified production, the15
motion picture production company shall submit to the Department of16
Economic Development, office of entertainment industry development, a17
statement declaring that it is not required to maintain records for the certified18
production pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §2257.19
