COMMERCIAL REGULATIONS. Permits non-resident vendors of recreational products
to exhibit at recreational product shows, fairs and festivals. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 32:1254(O), relative to the distribution and sale of motor vehicles; to provide2
for licensure of dealers; to provide for an exception for non-resident dealers of3
recreational products; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 32:1254(O) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1254. Application for license; requirements for licensure; contents; licenses;7
franchise filings; exception8

O. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the Motor Vehicle10
Commission shall allow non-resident exhibitors to participate and offer for sale11
or to display recreational products at recreational product shows, trade show12
exhibitions, fairs, and festivals taking place in this state. Any rule or regulation13
of the commission in conflict with these provisions existing upon the effective14
date of this Subsection shall be null and void.15
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not16
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature17 SB NO. 546

by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If1
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become2
effective on the day following such approval.3
