STATE DEPARTMENTS.  Requires certain state departments to develop and submit annual
reports providing statistics on women by race and ethnic groups. (8/1/12)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 36:961, relative to data collected by certain state departments; to provide that2
certain state departments develop reports providing statistics on women by race and3
ethnic groups; to provide for annual reports; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 36:961 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง961. Reporting statistics on women by ethnic group7
The secretary of the Department of Children and Family Services,8
Department of Civil Service, Department of Education, Department of Health9
and Hospitals, division of administration, Louisiana Economic Development10
and Workforce Commission and the Louisiana State University Health Science11
Center Health Care Services Division shall develop and submit annual reports12
providing statistics on women by race and ethnic groups, which shall include13
but is not limited to performance indicators and the state of women in14
Louisiana to the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children and the15
Louisiana Women's Policy and Research Commission beginning on August 15,16
2013. Each department shall post their annual report on the official website of17 SB NO. 552

Proposed law requires the secretary of the Department of Children and Family Services,
Department of Civil Service, Department of Education, Department of Health and Hospitals,
division of administration, Louisiana Economic Development and Workforce Commission
and the Louisiana State University Health Science Center Health Care Services Division to
develop and submit annual reports providing statistics on women by race and ethnic groups,
including, but not limited to, performance indicators and the state of women in Louisiana
to the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children and the Louisiana Women's Policy
and Research Commission beginning on August 15, 2013.
Proposed law requires each department to post their annual report on the official website of
the department.
Effective August 1, 2012.
