DIGEST Gallot (SB 582) Present law provides that no person shall operate a motorcycle with handlebars more than 15 inches in height above the portion of the seat occupied by the operator. Proposed law prohibits handlebars that require the hands of the operator to be above the operator's shoulder height when the operator is sitting astride the seat and the operator's hands are on the handlebar grips.
