LOTTERIES. Provides relative to the content of annual budget reports to be submitted to
the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget by the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.

AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 47:9010(A)(7), relative to the Louisiana Lottery Corporation; to2
provide for the content of the annual budget report submitted to the Joint Legislative3
Committee on the Budget; to provide for the reporting of certain personnel4
information; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 47:9010(A)(7) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:7
ยง9010. Powers and obligations of corporation's president; residence in Louisiana;8
ongoing study authorized 9
A. The president, as chief executive officer of the corporation, shall direct10
and supervise all administrative and technical activities in accordance with the11
provisions of this Subtitle and within the administrative regulations adopted by the12
board. He shall:13

(7) Beginning on March 1, 1991, and not later than thirty days before the15
beginning of each subsequent regular session of the legislature, submit the proposed16
annual budget of the corporation and projected net proceeds to the Joint Legislative17 SB NO. 652

Committee on the Budget for review and approval. In addition, the proposed1
annual budget of the corporation shall include a personnel table reporting2
information for each full-time and part-time permanent position, as follows:3
(a) The position title and the salary or wage for each position in the4
existing operating budget for the current fiscal year. Indicate whether each5
position is filled or vacant as of the reporting date.6
(b) The position title and the salary or wage requested for each position7
for the next fiscal year.8

Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2012; if vetoed by the governor10
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,11
2012, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.12

DIGEST
Present law provides for the powers and obligations of the La. Lottery Corporation president.
Provides that not later than thirty days before the beginning of each regular session of the
legislature, the president shall submit the proposed annual budget and projected net proceeds
to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for review and approval.
Proposed law retains present law and also requires inclusion of a personnel table for full and
part-time permanent positions that details the number of positions and salaries for the current
fiscal year and requested for the next fiscal year.
Effective July 1, 2012.
