(8/1/12) AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 17:406.7, relative to parent-teacher conferences; to require parents to attend2 at least one conference each year; to require school governing authorities to adopt3 rules; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 17:406.7 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6 ยง406.7. Parent-teacher conferences; required attendance; consequences7 A. A teacher shall schedule at least two parent-teacher conferences8 during the first semester each school year. At least one parent or guardian of9 the child shall attend at least one of the scheduled parent-teacher conferences.10 B.
