(8/1/12) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 29:729(E)(14) and to enact R.S. 29:729(E)(15), relative to2 powers and duties of the parish office of homeland security and emergency3 preparedness; to require the office to establish a voluntary registry of persons with4 special needs; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 29:729(E)(14) is hereby amended and reenacted and R.S.7 29:729(E)(15) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง729. Proposed law requires the parish office of homeland security and emergency preparedness to establish a voluntary register of persons with special needs who will require assistance during times of evacuation, including voluntary, advisory, mandatory or forced evacuations.
