TRAFFIC. Urges and requests DOTD to study truck traffic on LA 1019 between LA 16 and
LA 64 in Livingston Parish.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To urge and request that the Department of Transportation and Development to study truck2
traffic patterns on LA 1019 between LA 16 and LA 64 in Livingston Parish. 3
WHEREAS, trucks are traveling upon LA 1019 through a residential area as a4
shortcut between LA 16 and LA 64 in Livingston Parish; and5
WHEREAS, such trucks traveling upon LA 1019 raise concerns for the public safety6
of residents who live along LA 1019; and7
WHEREAS, a study of truck traffic patterns is needed to determine whether or not8
truck traffic should be restricted on LA 1019.9
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby10
request that the Department of Transportation and Development study truck traffic patterns11
on LA 1019 between LA 16 and LA 64 in Livingston Parish.12
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation and13
Development submit a written report of its findings, recommendations and actions taken, if14
any, to the House and Senate committees on transportation, highways and public works no15
later than March 1, 2013.16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the17
secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development.18 SCR NO. 4
