SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 16
BY SENATOR MORRELL 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Pastor George Green Jr. of the House of Healing
Outreach Church of New Orleans, Louisiana, upon his revival of evangelism within the
community.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Pastor George Green Jr. of the House of Healing Outreach Church upon his2
revival of evangelism within the Mid-City community of New Orleans.3
WHEREAS, it is with great respect of purpose that the Senate of the Legislature of4
Louisiana does hereby commend the good works and spiritual guidance provided to the5
community by George Green Jr., pastor and teacher at one of the fastest growing churches6
in New Orleans, the House of Healing Outreach Church, established in 2008; and7
WHEREAS, it was at that time that Pastor Green and his wife, Valerie, began to8
advance God's work and experience expansive growth with a flock that now numbers over9
two hundred parishioners; and10
WHEREAS, the sacred seeds of love and redemption sown by Pastor Green have11
taken root in the hearts of his congregation; and12
WHEREAS, from the sanctuary of the worship center in the very heart of Mid-City,13
many lost souls have been saved, called to the Lord's service, rescued from the perils of14
drugs, hopelessness, and ungodliness, and then set upon the path of righteousness; and15
WHEREAS, for the past four years, the ministries have provided counseling services16
for marriage and family relations, substance abuse, and financial well being, and have17
provided a beacon to light the way for faithful servants of the Lord of every age and in every18 SR NO. 16

circumstance; and1
WHEREAS, in March 2012, the House of Healing Outreach Church will undertake2
a special prayer revival, an event to take God's message to the streets, calling upon one and3
all to address through prayer the troubled issues of poverty and violence that plague the city;4
and5
WHEREAS, the House of Healing Outreach Church is at the center of this6
movement, with a mission to take back the fallen and downtrodden and return them to God's7
grace; and8
WHEREAS, the House of Healing Outreach Church asks everyone, the lowest of the9
low and the highest of the high, to pray together for a ground swell of hope, to place Mid-10
City and all of New Orleans on the path of righteousness and success once again; and11
WHEREAS, it is firmly believed that Jesus Christ has bestowed his blessings on this12
congregation and its leadership for the good works, spiritual guidance, and Christian13
fellowship it provides to the all who come by faith to "worship at the cross"; and14
WHEREAS, the House of Healing Outreach Church continues its community-based15
ministry and strives to bring spiritual healing and restoration to the city of New Orleans16
while also spreading the gospel of God's love and grace.17
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana18
does hereby commend Pastor George Green Jr. of the House of Healing Outreach Church19
upon his revival of evangelism within the Mid-City community of New Orleans.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to21
Pastor George Green Jr.22
