SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 162

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the Ouachita Christian High School football team for
winning the 2011 Class 1A state football championship.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Ouachita Christian High School team for winning the 2011 Class 1A state2
football championship game in the Louisiana Superdome in the Louisiana High3
School Athletic Association State Farm Prep Classic.4
WHEREAS, the Ouachita Christian High School football team greatly distinguished5
itself with an exemplary performance in the 2011 state football championship playoffs after6
an amazing perfect season; and7
WHEREAS, the 2011 Ouachita Christian High School Eagles brought great pride8
upon themselves as they defeated every opponent they faced and finished their storied9
season with fifteen victories and no defeats; and10
WHEREAS, the 2011 Eagle football team showed great and positive character in11
every performance as it represented its northeast Louisiana home by joining the ranks of the12
West Monroe High School Rebels and the Neville High School Tigers as state champions13
in Louisiana football.14
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana15
does hereby extend its highest commendations to the Ouachita Christian High School Eagles16
for a history-making season where they defeated all their opponents and brought home a17

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to1
Ouachita Christian High School.2
