Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2012 ENROLLED SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60 BY SENATORS ADLEY, ALARIO, ALLAIN, AMEDEE, APPEL, BROOME, BROWN, BUFFINGTON, CHABERT, CLAI TOR, CORTEZ, CROWE, DONAHUE, DORSEY-COLOMB, ERDEY, GALLOT, GUILLORY, HEITMEIER, JOHNS, KOSTELKA, LAFLEUR, LONG, MARTINY, MILLS, MORRELL, MORRISH , MURRAY, NEVERS, PEACOCK, PERRY, PETERSON, RISER, GARY SMITH, JOHN SMITH, TARVER, THOMPSON, WALSWORTH, WARD AND WHI TE A RESOLUTION To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the death of United States Army Specialist Matthew Wade Comeaux while in the service of his country. WHEREAS, Specialist Comeaux served with great distinction during his time in uniform; and WHEREAS, Specialist Comeaux was especially proud of his brave service during Operation Enduring Freedom; and WHEREAS, Specialist Comeaux's tour of duty in Afghanistan involved his participation in combat operations and he performed his military duties in an outstanding fashion, according to standards in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army; and WHEREAS, Specialist Comeaux was on active duty with the Armed Forces when he passed away June 5, 2011, at the age of twenty-one; and WHEREAS, while his loss to his family, friends and fellow soldiers is immeasurable, he will continue to live on in their hearts and the memories of him will remain with them; and WHEREAS, Specialist Comeaux joins a very special group of young Americans who have courageously served their country during the United States War on Terror and have fought to preserve the freedoms held so preciously by so many. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby extend its deepest and most profound condolences to those who loved Specialist Matthew Comeaux and know the world is a lesser place without him.
