SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 67
BY SENATOR ADLEY 
CONDOLENCES. Extends condolences on the death of United States Army Specialist
Jordan Chase Soulier.
A RESOLUTION1
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the2
death of United States Army Specialist Jordan Chase Soulier.3
WHEREAS, Jordan Chase Soulier was a native and a resident of Ventress,4
Louisiana; and5
WHEREAS, as a specialist in the United States Army, Jordan Chase Soulier served6
his country faithfully and with great pride as a wheeled vehicle mechanic in the 256
th

Engineering Battalion; and8
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier passed away on November 10, 2011, the eve of the day9
this nation recognizes all who have served in its armed forces; and10
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier was known by those who served with him to be a unique11
and outstanding soldier; and12
WHEREAS, he will always be remembered as a loving son, a respectful grandson,13
and a loyal and protective brother; and14
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier's loss, at the age of twenty-two, can never be fully15
measured, his family, friends and fellow soldiers know he touched many lives in a truly16
positive way in his far too brief life; and17
WHEREAS, Jordan Chase Soulier, in a final act of greatness and love, donated his18 SR NO. 67

organs to others so that they could continue to live through his sacrifice.1
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana2
does hereby extend its most sincere and profound condolences to all who loved Jordan Chase3
Soulier and believe the world is a lesser place without him.4
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to his5
mother, Mary Hudson of Gonzales and his father, Glyn Soulier of Ventress.6
