A RESOLUTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
death of United States Army Specialist Jordan Chase Soulier.
WHEREAS, Jordan Chase Soulier was a native and a resident of Ventress,
Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, as a specialist in the United States Army, Jordan Chase Soulier served
his country faithfully and with great pride as a wheeled vehicle mechanic in the 256
th
Engineering Battalion; and
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier passed away on November 10, 2011, the eve of the day
this nation recognizes all who have served in its armed forces; and
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier was known by those who served with him to be a unique
and outstanding soldier; and
WHEREAS, he will always be remembered as a loving son, a respectful grandson,
and a loyal and protective brother; and
WHEREAS, Jordan Soulier's loss, at the age of twenty-two, can never be fully
measured, his family, friends and fellow soldiers know he touched many lives in a truly
positive way in his far too brief life; and
WHEREAS, Jordan Chase Soulier, in a final act of greatness and love, donated his
organs to others so that they could continue to live through his sacrifice.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby extend its most sincere and profound condolences to all who loved Jordan Chase
Soulier and believe the world is a lesser place without him. SR NO. 67	ENROLLED

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to his
mother, Mary Hudson of Gonzales and his father, Glyn Soulier of Ventress.
