Abstract: Provides for an annual noncritical off-road equipment permit to be issued by DOTD
for vehicles or combinations of vehicles with single-triple axle configurations in which no
single axle is in excess of 30,000 pounds nor triple axle is in excess of 54,000 pounds.
Present law provides for an annual noncritical off-road equipment permit to be issued by DOTD
for vehicles or combinations of vehicles without booster units, or vehicles with a single-single,
single-tandem, or tandem-tandem axle configuration in which no single axle is in excess of
30,000 pounds nor tandem axles in excess of 54,000 pounds.
Proposed law includes single-triple axles not in excess of 30,000 pounds and triple axles not in
excess of 54,000 pounds in the list of vehicles eligible for such permits.
