DISTRICTS/INDUSTRIAL: Provides relative to meetings of the Sulphur Industrial
Development District
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 33:130.312(H), relative to the Sulphur Industrial Development2
District; to provide with respect to meetings of the board of commissioners; and to3
provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published5
as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of6
Louisiana.7
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8
Section 1. R.S. 33:130.312(H) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:9
ยง130.312.  Board of commissioners; members, officers, agents, and employees10

H. The board of commissioners shall meet in regular session once each12
month on a quarterly basis and shall also meet in special session when the president13
of the board convenes them or on the written request of four members.  No more14
than twelve special sessions may be called within any one calendar year. Four15
members of the board of commissioners shall constitute a quorum.16

Abstract: Provides that the board of commissioners of the Sulphur Industrial Development
District shall meet on a quarterly basis rather than monthly.
Present law provides for the creation of the Sulphur Industrial Development District. The
district is governed by a board of commissioners consisting of six members selected by the
city of Sulphur.
Present law provides that the board of commissioners shall meet in regular session once each
month and shall also meet in special session when the president of the board convenes them
or on the written request of four members.
Proposed law provides that the board of commissioners shall meet in regular session on a
quarterly basis; otherwise retains present law.
